We love customer service week almost as much as we love Gladys. Celebrated during the week of October 6 through 10 this year, it’s a time to reward your team for the outstanding service they provide to customers all year long.
Here’s what we found out about the origination of Customer Service Week:
The International Customer Service Association (www.ICSAtoday.org) created National Customer Service Week in 1984 in support of its mission to recognize and reward individuals who provide service to customers as the primary function of their job.
The president of ICSA has written a wonderful blog post about why it’s important here: Some Thoughts on Customer Service Week
AND, we’ll help out by bringing you relevant customer service articles all week, so stay tuned!
In the meantime, we have free downloadable gifts for service providers everywhere, including a FREE chapter of our book, “Who’s Your Gladys? How to Turn Even the Most Difficult Customer into Your Biggest Fan.” You can check them out here: FREE Gifts for Service Providers
What about you? How are you celebrating this week?
