The employees at Preston Wynne Spa (a California company that’s featured in our book) start their shift with the “morning huddle,” an all-staff meeting during which they review the list of scheduled customers, discuss any issues they’re having and generate enthusiasm for the day. This ten-minute meeting pays off in countless ways, allowing managers to quickly head off any pending problems and employees to keep managers in the loop of information.

Engaged and happy employees are critical to customer service excellence. What might happen if you started a morning huddle habit at your company?
